Outdoor Furniture Care

Your warranty covers you for full-outdoor use. But looking after anything will always guarantee it looks better for longer.

The main culprits are sun & chlorine (especially when combined). Cleaning surfaces, particularly fabrics, after exposure to pool chemicals will extend your furniture's lifetime, ideally wiping with soapy water, or at least a spray with the hose - cushions and fabrics are water-safe and dry fast. In normal conditions, a thorough wipe down every 6-12 months is recommended.

Otherwise, have peace of mind knowing that what you have is truly outdoor-grade. Materials are designed to endure sun & rain.

Powder-coated Aluminium

Aluminium is an excellent outdoor material for the fact that it does not rust. However, if raw aluminium is exposed to salt-air, it can corrode. This is why we use a 3-stage powder coating - the first stage primes the metal so the next coat holds, the second stage is the chip-resistant pigment coating, and the third stage applies UV-stabiliser, ensuring the whole finish endures full-sun exposure.

Care is simple. The surface is impervious to water, so a spray down with the hose is easy and effective. Or wipe tougher spots with warm soapy water.

Teak

Teak is a hardwood with naturally high oil content, which makes it exceptional for outdoor use. Even with zero maintenance, it lasts for decades in full exposure. How much you maintain it is about appearance.

Left alone, the surface weathers to a silver patina. Fine splits open and close season to season, but they do not compromise the structure.

Use Teak Protector to slow that ageing and hold the warmer original tone. Follow with a Teak Shield to add time for wiping spills and rain marks. If the timber has already weathered or marked, use Teak Cleaner to strip back that top layer so you can treat it again or let it age naturally.

Ceramic, Duraboard & GRC

Ceramic, Duraboard, and GRC (fibreglass-reinforced cement) tops are built for outdoor use. Clean off spills, grime, and rough residue rather than leaving them sitting on the surface.

For day-to-day care, wipe them down with mild soapy water or a gentle cleaner. Avoid dragging heavy or abrasive objects across the surface, and do not use the tabletop as a cutting or impact surface. On GRC in particular, keep harsh acids and abrasive cleaners off the sealed finish.

Cushions & Rope

Our cushions are made for outdoor use, are water-safe, and dry fast. Do not leave grime, chlorine, or moisture sitting in them for longer than needed.

After exposure to pool chemicals, salt, or heavy dirt, rinse them off with the hose or wipe them down with soapy water. After rain, let them dry properly before storing or covering them.

Textiles

Care is low maintenance. Hose it down or wipe it with mild soapy water, especially after salt, pool chemicals, or grime build-up. Keep abrasive cleaners, solvents, and rough scrubbing off the surface so the finish stays smooth and lasts well.

Resin

Select pieces use UV-stable polypropylene resin reinforced with glass fibre. It does not absorb moisture, dries fast after rain, and stands up well to daily outdoor use.

Care is straightforward. Hose it down or wipe it with mild soapy water. Keep harsh cleaners, solvents, and abrasive pads off the surface because they mark the finish. Resin is a low-maintenance material built for full outdoor exposure.

Wicker

Synthetic wicker handles sun and rain well while keeping the furniture light and practical.

Hose it down or clean it with warm soapy water and a soft brush, especially if dirt or debris has settled into the weave. Do not use harsh cleaners or abrasive pads.
